What Does the Cosmelan Method Involve?
The treatment involves one in-clinic professional procedure followed by a homecare maintenance plan.
- Cosmelan 1 (In-Clinic Treatment):
Applied by a professional, left on for 8-12 hours depending on skin type and pigmentation. - Cosmelan 2 (Homecare Maintenance):
Used 48 hours after the in-clinic treatment. Apply three times daily for the first month, twice daily for the second and third months, and once in the evening from the fourth month onward.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Clients should use the Mesoestetic Ultimate W+ range, Melan Recovery, and Melan 130+ alongside their Cosmelan 2. These products reduce irritation, peeling, and the risk of adverse reactions.
Avoid products containing Vitamin C or retinols, as they are too stimulating during the treatment. During the first month, clients should use only the products included in the post-peel pack and Cosmelan 2.
No, other treatments should be avoided during the Cosmelan treatment. However, the Melanostop Peel can be performed 48 hours before Cosmelan to prepare the skin by removing dead cells and hydrating it.
Laser treatments may be less effective for higher phototype skins (types 4-6) and pose a higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Cosmelan is more effective, better tolerated, and offers longer-lasting results with a lower risk of recurrence.
