IPL operates through a process known as photothermolysis, delivering a comfortable light treatment to the skin. During the session, you’ll feel a light elastic sensation.
Lumecca can be used on all areas of the body, especially areas frequently exposed to the sun, such as the face, neck, décolletage, legs, hands, and arms.
After a consultation, ultrasound gel is applied, and the therapist will use the Lumecca handpiece to deliver light pulses. The treatment lasts 5-10 minutes, and your skin may feel slightly red afterward.
Expect mild redness and warmth that usually subside within 1-2 hours. Pigmented spots may darken within 24-48 hours, flaking off over the week to even skin tone. Vascular lesions may blanch or disappear after a few days.

Typically, 1-3 sessions are required, depending on the severity of the skin damage. Your therapist will create a personalized treatment plan.
